The End Is Just Another Beginning

The end is here...no not the Apocalypse. Its the end of Web 2.0 at least I think it would be... who knows it just might be the beginning..okay now I sound like a broken record. So what have I learned from this educational class. A lot. I learned no matter how vast you think the Internet is it is probably a hundred times bigger than what you thought it actually is. Sort of like the universe. Scary huh? Anyways I also learn that we are not superhuman's the human brain has the capacity to only hold so many login ID's and passwords. My brain hurts just thinking of them.
There are a few sites that I did enjoy. Like Youtube, Library Things, JaxCat Search Gadget, On Line Image Generator (I really liked that one), Podcast and SandBox wiki. Those were some cool sites and gadgets I found fun to play around with. Sure I could also use them in everyday life. Or use them to pass the time. Still I enjoyed the class and hope for more. If there is a Web 3.0 then by all means lets see what I can do. oh the possibilities.

OverdrivE

Overdrive...well it needs alot of work. I checked it out and did some browsing, and I didn't find all the books I was looking for. At least not the ones I was interested in. Though they did have verity of other books.

It sucks cause I can't use the program with my ipod. I wish it was compatible with my ipod. Oh well. Overdrive does look like an over-all good program. There isn't much to say on the program. I guess until I get a device the is compatible with Overdrive or i its compatible to my ipod I guess I'm out of luck though downloading was not a problem, but I really can't use it ... why WMA format why....(Echo cry).

Podcast

I'll say it once and I'll say is twice I DETEST Bloglines. The thing never works right for me. I tried to RSS Feed the evil thing but it just wanted to be a pain. The RSS Feeds is something I don't see myself using to often if not at all. Then I tried other podcast same old thing. The best I could do was iTunes but it was music, not sure if that counts as podcats. I was the top 25 Hits or something like that. The podcast on iTunes was easy enough to find and put in my iTunes, but that was as far as I go to getting them onto my Bloglines. The Blogline did let me subscribe to Podcast Alley but I'm not signing UP I can hardly remember half the things I signed up for and I actually started to right it down. I also tried Podcast Pickle that one wouldn't let me so I left that alone. Seriously not fun at all. I for one don't care much for Bloglines its very much a pain in place I will not mention.

YouTube

I just logged on to YouTube and I gotta say I haven't laughed that hard in such a long time I thought I keel over. I'm really starting to like You Tube, it has lot of the videos I was looking for and some old ones I thought I never see again. I supposes the only problem with YouTube is that the pictures don't come out as clear as you would like them too. I looked up some of the things I enjoy like animals, anime, etc. Found the first amv anime video I ever saw... lets just leave it as that, but I had a blast and a laugh. Almost went into convulsions. Anyways enjoy the vids. And NO I'm not gonna show it (insert maniacal laughter here)....
Check it out:

Discovering Web 2.0 Tools

This was easy. I got to the Web 2.0 link and it gave me list of all the sites to choose from. I chose the thing I was most familiar with and that was Visual Art, and lo and behold there it was YouTube. I like YouTube though I don't use as often as other site programs. Its a cool site and it usually gives you what you looking for. Like any other site you may have some difficulties if you don't know what you are looking for or you don't know how to look for what you are looking for. The subject you maybe looking for may have a wide variety of videos. The only thing I really don't like about it is that when you sometimes see a video you many want to watch it just disappears. Oh well.

Okay I tried another category Digital Storage and Remote Access and it has this one site called Monster and I've known I've seen it some where before. So I decided to check it out and it was job finding site so I played around with it and looked very simple. So I looked for some jobs that had to do with digital, arts and design and it let me pick more than one category at a time. It then gave me a list of available jobs and a option of writing a resume. I was sure there was a lot more to it but I would have to sign in. No thank you.

Then I looked at Music next it had sites I have never visited before. Like Last.fm, but when I opened up the web page it kinda of reminded me of yahoo.music, it was probley similar in many ways. But at last it also required for me to sign in. Does everything in life want you to sign away your life...don't answer that.

Zoho Trial

Okay so I tried out Zoho and I really like it. I was fun to mess around with it and I really didn't have any problems with the functions of the program. If I had more time I would like to keep it up and see what else it could do. Its like an all in one package, I can deal with that. No sure if the page will show up but like I said it was fun while it lasted. (>_<)
... Well I tried to publish my Zoho Writers blog in this blog, but... I changed my mind it look as if it would mess with my settings and I just didn't feel like screwing up so. Another time another place.

For some odd reason I've read and re-read the blogs on Web 2.0 and I can't for the world of me have the words make any sense. But if my brain made any sense of what I read. Then I guess I would have to agree with Away from Icebergs when you split it up and use the terminology used to describe the library system. The web is a definitely a digital lifestyle and it will continue to grow. Take the web away is like a natural disaster. People depend on it as if is their life support that gives them the air to breath. To the point we will no longer need human contact because the web can do all that for us. (Now that's a scary thought. ) Its so vast its like number never ending. To infinity and ... well you get it . :p I'm not sure if this what you are looking for but my brain right now can only grasp bits of info before it goes on autopilot. Its been like that this entire month it sucks.

DE.ICIO.US

OKAY SO I TRIED OUT THIS DE.ICIO.US SITE. AND I GOT TO SAY ITS ALLOT EASIER TO US IN SOME ASPECTS. COMPARED TO THAT OF BLOGLINES. LIKE FINDING A URL OR FEED THAT WORKS WITH ANY SITE. STILL ITS NOT SOMETHING I SEE MY SELF USING. (DISCLAIMER):ANY OF THE LOGOS I USE IN MY BLOGS JUST WANTED SOMETING TO PUT WITH IT.

Blogline Ex. # 9

It looks like I was ahead of my self in this one. I create a blogline then went ahead and started to find web sites that interested me. It took me 3 DAYs! just to find at least ten RSS FEEDS, and like I said before; it would say the site did not have an RSS FEED or that I already had the FEED after it told me the site was having technical difficulties. Even though it seems convenient it still takes quite some time to get it right. Though I like the clippings, that part was fun. I just have to keep playing with it to get the hang of it.
Ja-ne (Disclaimer): I don't own any of the logos I use in my blogs just wanted to put something with it.

RSS Feed

Though they are useful it sucks. I don't ever see myself using the RSS Feed. Its more troubel than its worth. It's pointless , 'cause I find bookmarking far more easierto manage. Even though it was easy after the first try it was hard to find the other RSS Feed. Not to mention it gave me a lot of error messages then turned around and said I already had the FEED. What was up with that?
